The Grezda family from Gjakova has been seeking the return of violently seized property from Serbian power over 70 years ago.
Petrit Grezda says that his grandfather and his brother had decided to build the block factory in 1901, reports KTV.
The same was done at the Serbian Communist Party's order in 1947, arbitraryly and without the 4 laws, through which the power of the time confiscated property.
Grezda says that Serbian power was aware of the property it had acquired since 1996 a proposal had come to them by a Serbian lawyer who had asked 20 thousand deutschmarks to return this property. The family at the time had refused, as the LDK, according to him, had ordered the offer to be ignored.
Their fight had continued even after the liberation in 2003, where they submitted their request to the Kosovar Trust Agency, where they had received answers for the matter to be handed over to the Court in Gjakova, and where, according to him, it was left unattended for years.
But, Grezda says the process intensified in 2005 when the privatisation process of the bloc factory began, and of which it says there have been a large number of violations.
Because he is unable to carry out his right based on the documents he possesses, the Grezda family is looking forward to the possibility of completing it at the European Court of Human Rights.
The IMF Blocks factory in Gjakova was privatised with Spin Off Special in the 11th Privatisation Wave from the AKP's predecessor.
The same was sold at the price of over 5.6m euros.
According to data from the AKP, the Block factory was released from monitoring and control, as it was found that the buyer had fulfilled the pledges provided.
AKP officials have told KTV that this factory is not subject to eventual credit or property complaints and all credit and property claims against a social enterprise are handled during the liquidation process and handled by the Association Authority of that company.
