Two shareholders of the American giant Apple, concerned by the effects on the mental health of the iPhone's excessive use, have requested a study on child addiction to smartphones.
There is a growing number of evidence that, for at least some of the most diligent young users, there may be involuntari negative consequences on health”, write investors Jana Partners LLC and California Teachers' Pension Fund (Clastrs), in a letter dated January 6th.
Major social concern will probably affect Apple herself at some point, these two investors who own about two billion dollars of shares in Apple warned.
Fighting at this point will increase the value for a long term for all shareholders”, they stressed in their letter quoted earlier by “Wall Street Journal”.
The American technology giant already proposes parental control and the possibility of limiting access to certain apps and content.
