During the launch of the rehabilitation programme, Tourism and Environment Minister Blendy Klosi, from Velipo, said the project would enable the construction of beaches off the banks of the river. According to the minister, the joint tourist offer with Kosovo will enable these areas to be offered as tourist destinations for tourists.
The joint tourist option with Kosovo, but also co-ordinating tourist offering with other neighbouring countries, will soon make the Velipoja area one of the pearls of Albanian tourism. In these areas, we need to add hotels with 4 and 5 stars, the development of agroturism in the Velipoja area, which will double visitors to the area in 2018.
The Albanian government is continuing investments not only for the development of tourism policies but also for improving infrastructure in these areas”, Minister Blendi Klosi has said.
