Kadri Wessel's stance regarding developments about the Special Court that was published today, in which the Democratic League of Kosovo for political exploitation of the special issue has been rejected by Democratic League of Kosovo Deputy Chairman Agim Veliu.
In a proposal for Periscope, Veliu has said the LDK has never exploited issues of national interest for political gain.
The “is not what he said, because we, with big and sensitive issues that are of national character and that are of the whole of Kosovo, have never made politics and have never benefited from these things. As a political subject, we have principles that with big issues like these we don't make policies” Veliu said about Persiscope.
According to him The PDK will have to get out of the situation itself, as they insisted that the Specialised Chambers be approved.
“They have to get themselves out of this situation, because they have insisted on establishing the Court and adopting the Law and making changes. They should be clarified by themselves and before the opinion, rather than the Democratic League of Kosovo”, he added.
As for the stance of the states of the QUINT, Veliu has said that anyone who swings the reports with the US and Europe should be held accountable, as he holds this endangers the country's future.
“The reaction of the QUINT states was very severe. And if we work like this to shake up good reports with the United States of America and the European Union, I believe we risk Kosovo's future. It must be accountable to anyone contributing to the destruction of Kosovo's reports with the collapse of reports with the United States of America”, LDK deputy chairman Agim Veliu.
On December 22nd, 2017, ruling coalition partners, P DK, AAK and NISMA had attempted to break up the Special Court through the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, yet such an attempt was strongly opposed by the United States of America, Great Britain, and also by the Democratic League of Kosovo. /Periscopi/
