Agron Demi in a letter published at the KOHA portal has talked about the issue of huge veterans' lists. He has cited some disturbing findings, which he says testify to the poor state of our country's economic and political system.
“are at least three other people born in 1997 who receive veteran retirement, and on the list of benefits there are a total of 21 people born after 1991, who were between two and eight in wartime.” he said.
According to him, for the next 30 years, Kosovo budget veterans will cost no less than 2.5 billion euros. He has criticised the Commission's scheduled for verifying the lists, which so far has continued the mandate four times.
Demi has proposed that instead of all veterans being paid, most of them were given unfinancial gratitude, while only those with a more serious condition, were given the given pension.
“At present, 77% of households receiving social assistance do not exceed the poverty limit. If the budget set aside for veterans' pensions was driven by social assistance, today no family, which meets the criteria for social assistance, would remain in poverty.” has added Demi.
