During the first 10 months of the year we left behind our fellow countrymen living in various countries in the world in the form of remittances in Kosovo have sent nothing short of 623.8m euros, while during the entire 2016, remittances from the diaspora were 691m euros, writes the newspaper “Zri” today.
According to official data from the Kosovo Central Bank (BQK), it is seen that during the month of October of the year we left behind from the diaspora in Kosovo in the form of remittances came 69.7m euros during September 63.1m euros, during the month of August 71m euros, during the month of July 60m euros, during June 71.1m euros, during the month of 67.6m euros, during April 57.9m euros, during March 64.7m euros, during February 50.7m euros, 50.7m euros, and during January 48m euros.
According to data published by the Central Bank of Kosovo, the majority of remittances to our country have come through money transfer agencies, a part through banks, as well as a considerable sum across other roads.
Always based on official data, it is seen that mostly remittances during 2017 have come from Germany, where over the first nine peaks of the year we left behind in our country through remittances have come more than 110m euros.
Also, after Germany, according to official data, it is seen that Switzerland is ranked in second place with a total of 65m euros in remittances for nine months, the United States with over 20m euros in remittances for nine months, Italy with 12.9m euros per nine months, Austria with 12m euros, Belgium with 8m euros, Sweden and France with over 10m euros in remittances for nine months, Norway with 4m euros, Canada with 4.5m euros, England with 1.1m euros, Finland with 2.2m euros, the Netherlands with 1.6m euros, Slovenia with 1.2m euros, as well as other states from the first ninem euros in the year.
