In a pre-military police statement of the Carabinieri reportedly the operation had dismantled a large clan of the so-called organised crime group Nandangheta, based in the southern region of Calabria.
Police said the operation was conducted together with police in Germany.
They said the Farao and Marincola clans had infiltrated businesses in both countries, especially those involved in the summer, food, garbage collection and funeral services.
According to the statement, even a number of public officials are suspected of corruption, without specifying whether they were in Italy or in both countries, Kosovas Press broadcasts.
Some 50m euros (59.79m dollars) have been confiscated as well.
