For the 10th anniversary of Kosovo independence, 10 days of holidays

At this start, after publishing the official logo of the 10th anniversary of independence by President Thaci on January 1st, much was commented on its symbol. Some felt like sun, others like eagle or divided eagle wings, back-to-back, as if symbolic of two states guarding each other's backs, while others did not think there was anything symbolic of the journey that brought us to this jubilee, which this year is organised under the auspices of the president of the Republic of Kosovo.
Organising for this manifestation has already begun and presidency officials, who are also part of the Organising Council, for Kosovas, have indicated that this year's independence holiday will last 10 days, from 8 February to 18 February, as symbolic of the 10th anniversary of independence.
“So far public has become the official logo of institutional organisations that will take place for this 10th anniversary of our citizenship. The logo is the derivative of official state symbols, official colors, but of course it has its own symbol. An integral part of the logo is the blue, golden, and white color, which is also the colors of our state flag.
The form of logo, with two hands open and ten fingers, except for the tenth birthday of our country, means another 10 years of contributing to regional peace and in shape similar to fireworks that are synonymous with holidays worldwide.
The logo form also has elements of Kosovo's map and shape, but the designers have included the shape of the polar star. The six stars that on our state flag symbolize the six largest ethnic groups living in Kosovo have been presented as six litres of light about logos, while the two vertical lines in the middle of the logo are remote corners of our” map, have clarified President Thaci's political adviser, Adil Behraj.
Thaci's adviser has not wanted to comment on the statements of Jakup Krasniqi and others about the logo, saying how the Organising Council has organisational responsibility and will try to stay as far away from political comments as possible.
We thank them all for their assessments, for their comments, both critics of the logo and those who have liked him, which of course matter to us. Understandably, each can have different artistic tastes and personal preferences. The interpretations are free, there is no need to reduce imaginations only in the sense that they wanted to give to the creators, because everyone can see the logo from their point of view and there can be other finds around it”, said Behramaj, adding that this is the version, and that is the official symbol of the logo of the 10th anniversary of independence.
He said that in the future, as soon as it becomes fully concrete, the festive programme will also become public.
