The Kosovar Centre for the rehabilitation of Torture Survivors (QKRMT), in partnership with the Embassy of Great Britain, organises the two-day workshop “Education of the system surrounding survivors of sexual violence during the war in Kosovo”.
The aim of the workshop is to add stress on the current state of sexual violence survivors during the war in Kosovo and the stigma surrounding them, to identify the main barriers and measures addressing the stigma on an individual level, communitarian and institutional level.
The workshop will bring together local and international experts to handle the stigma surrounding survivors of sexual violence during the war in Kosovo. The workers' results are intended to contribute to the increase of survivors in rehabilitation, justice and other reparative programmes.
This worker is in line with the global initiative for preventing sexual violence, (PSVI) London and as such will contribute to challenging traditional attitudes to end the stigma experienced by survivors of sexual violence, Kosova Press broadcasts.
