Truck producers like Tesla, Daimler and Navistar have launched a feverish race to build batteries capable of replacing oil tanks and offering the same distance.
Tesla's chief executive said last week that the first half electric truck will go on sale on October 26th.
During Frankfurt's show, Volkswagen said he will invest 20 billion euros in electric vehicles by 2030.
