Thaci accepts new German ambassador's credentials

President Hashim Thaci, today has accepted the credentials of the ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kosovo, Christian Heldt. The president has reiterated that German support for Kosovo and the region remains determining for the region's Euro-Atlantic future.
“Berlin remains an important political address for Kosovo. Chancellor Merkel's victory in Sunday's elections will strengthen the European Union, as well as boost the EU's attention to Kosovo and the region”, he has stressed.
President Thaci has said they will co-operate closely with the new ambassador to boost trade exchanges with Germany.
On the other hand, the new ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kosovo, Christian Heldt, has confirmed German state support for Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic perspective.
