Samsung's virtual assistant, Bixby, was introduced in April along with Galaxy S8, which had a button dedicated to him.
While Bixby wasn't available until mid-win, another Samsung phone, Galaxy Notte 8 had a dedicated button.
Samsung has refused to allow phone users to change the function of the button.
The company went so far as to block third-party applications that opened the button to use for another function by irritating many users.
However, the company decided to withdraw Monday day when an update told users they could stop launching Bixby through this button.
Update is only valid for Galaxy S8 and Note 8. The new button deactivation option will be welcomed by those who accidentally launched the assistant.
