He said the Federal Communications Agency will work to force Facebook to adhere to the laws for personal data of Russian citizens working in foreign companies. Critics of the law, who went into force two years ago, say this data is subject to danger by Russian intelligence services.
Zharov said the Russian government understands that Facebook is a unique service, but added that there will be no exceptions and that next year they will block Facebook if it fails to act in accordance with the laws.
