A “show observation Stop-x1> states that along the entire coastline, the watchtowers are missing, or even the towers and people who have to save lives. A VKM regulates the mode of functioning of these structures, but it has not been implemented by local entities.
The journalist has carried out a survey along the coastline from when it turns out that only towers exist, but none of them have observers.
Journalist: We are in the middle of August in the town of Saranda, one of the city most frequented by local and foreign tourists. A month and a half ago, Stop has investigated the vast majority of the Albanian coast, where it has recorded a series of problems, one of them and the lack of observation towers, equipped them with the observer who needs to come to the aid of vacationers.
28 is the number of drownings in the 2017 summer season, perhaps smaller if measures were taken and things worked properly in Albania.
Albanian law envisions creating a safe environment for foreign and Albanian tourists. A VKM released at 18.05,2016 in Article 6. Point C, predicted that the local government that rents the premises, private businesses should force them under the VKM to build a monitoring tower and employ a observer.
Report reporter Stopn has made an investigation into coastal cities, and none of them have an observer who can stay at work to help vacationers who may be in danger while on vacation.
On April 27th 2017 was tendered by the National Coast Agency a tower with a total of 41 million dollars, the address given is in The Source.
The reporter has gone to Dence to see where the tower is, what it costs so much. But even though the journalist checked the entire coastline in Deherme he found no tower to deal with tendering the Coast Agency.
The only tower that was in Dederme was a tower that was built by a private subject.
But the journalist hasn't left it yet, he has contacted Auron Taren as head of the Coast Agency, who said publishing the 41 million-dollar tender for a tower that never became is a pencil. And investing in manless towers is simply a lot of money wasted.
Auron Tare: In fact, the tender that is made in May and June and is a tender carried from last year for the establishment of 13 towers which are also in documentation worth 5 million old dollars, from the subject that was won. These towers are located in Vlora, Django, Orikum and the old beach under demand by the Vlora City Hall, due to the influx of visitors. These towers, 13 pieces within this tender, are located on Vlora beach.
Journalist: So it's a pencil with the data that is the Public Procurement Agency, the address is The Source and Towers are made in Vlora?
Auron Tare: We could make 100 towers and distribute them to many cities where the municipalities need, but since the Vlora municipality has made demands with official paperwork to settle in these areas, it has been given priority to these areas. I'd say a tower without surveillance has no role. The towers don't have observers, but it doesn't mean they won't. /Tv Klan/
