If so far we have seen a clash between Lulzim Basha and the grouping that was left out of the list for MPs, the Democratic Party seems to be starting another clash even harder. This time it is its historic leader, Sali Berisha, who viciously attacks the current chairman, Lulzim Basha.
Speaking in an interview for Cim Peka's show, Berisha charges Basha and says he would never have made a list like her.
“Lulzim Basha Councilers are miserable. That wasn't the DP's list, but Basha's list. Some exceptions are unacceptable. I would never make that list. But there's a man who knows that I believed Lulzim Basha could win that list, he's Cim Peka”, Berisha said in an interview that will be broadcast tonight.
The former prime minister declares media reports on what happened at the meeting of the DP's parliamentary group, a day after the passage of the vote for Gramoz Ruci Mayor Cavendish.
Also of great interest is Berisha's stance on the fate of the agreement Rama-Bashhau, the stand that will be public this evening.
We remember that Berisha has been somewhat attracted by recent developments in the Democratic Party, especially during the Basha-Peace race, a race mounted to reconfirm at the helm of the DP, Lulzim Basha.
But obviously his support was again pro-ulzim Basha. There is no known what recently happened in the reports between them, as this change in Berisha's 360-degree course towards Basha had never happened before.
Berisha has been Lulzim Basha's main political sponsor since 2005, when he arrived in Tirana to join the KOP until he climbed to the helm of the DP in 2013, again through a controversial race in the face of the late Sokol Olldashi. It remains only to wait for the full interview tonight to learn more about Sali Berisha's plan.
