Be careful! Who fixs you the broken cell screen?

When we break the smartphone screen, our first thought is the money to fix it. But when we get the phone fixed, we also need to be careful about informal security, which is because of an advanced technique, malicious people can tap the device. The discovery of this illegal technique has made Ben-Gurion University researchers in Negev, Israel. But according to this study, many of the unofficial substitute elements, such as the screen, microphone, and other parts of smartphones, actually contain hardware able to disable certain necessary functions or constantly monitor what we do with the phone.

Thus, malicious people who have adjusted our phone can register the passwords and credentials of our bank accounts.

From a first analysis, this technique was used not only to spy on users, but also to install, without their will, file applications on tablet smartphone, to favour hackers. Scholars have had to find smartphones with malicious substitutes.

That's because the hardware installed during repair is not traced to normal antivirus software. The advice to avoid privacy - related problems is to address official customer service points. But in a vast universe like Android, it's easier to find a third-hand repair center than an official point.

To give an idea of the possible range of such attacks, Israeli researchers have calculated the number of broken screens worldwide BAR 50 percent of mobile devices have broken the screen at least once, and only 20 percent have decided not to repair it.

How to Protect Yourself

According to experts, the most efficient way to protect yourself from these attacks is to install an anti-Spyware hardware on the phone before you can get the phone to repair it. Keep in mind that the risk of malicious adjustments applies to both Smartphones and Androids, such as iPhones. /Medial/
