The Democratic Party of Kosovo has even changed a candidate for mayor. Wessel's party has given up Hajdar Beqes' candidacy to compete with Ramandan Hoti.
The news confirmed on the Express Journal herself Beqa. The youngest MP in this legislature says he has decided to retain the MP's position by not running for mayor. He even says he has been the initiator for Hotin to propose as head of Gjakova from the PDK.
“The PDK, the branch in Gjakova, the official candidate for mayor of the Gjakova municipality, has the deputy chairman, Ramadan Hoti, who will strongly stand in this election. His decision has been welcomed, initially by me, who proposed Mr. Hoti. He has the values and all of himself to lead the” municipality, Beqa said.
He stressed that he will continue to hold the position of elected MP in the sixth legislature.
I have won votes in the June 11th elections as Kosovo Parliament MP, and I do not want to disappoint my voters. It seemed unfair to me that after I received the vote as deputy, I would go and compete for mayor”, Beqa said.
We remember that PDK in Gjakova by June of this year was part of the government of Mimoza Kusari-Lila, but that the latter, just before the resignation from the municipality, to race for deputies, broke off unilateral co-operation with the PDK.
