Some of them say that not only is the work of institutions blocked, but all of Kosovo.
Ruzhdi Morina, a professional economist, surveyed for Radio Free Europe, said the country is being held hostage and blocked by the same people, the country's leaders, who are now and many years alone supporting its positions.
They're a lot of mean people. They are not blocking the Assembly, but blocking Kosovo. People who fight for power don't fight for nation. They should not be in Government, since new people must come. It's immoral, unconscious. Even if early elections occur, the same people will still come, and the country is being blocked”, Morina says.
Hamdi Arifi, a professional teacher, also thinks parties should get together to get out of the crisis:
The citizens have a lot of influence on institutions. I think we need to get together and unlock institutions. Not just to think about tenders and personal benefits. Let's tell ourselves stop, and unlock institutions for the good of citizens”.
Labinot Krasniqi, 32-year-old, says the country's leaders are more interested in their career than the people of Kosovo:
There's no place to go. For their careers they had fought. I'm sick of it when I see them on TV, let me talk about them. I really don't have what I'm talking about”
While Delvina Boletini, a student, says the impasse of the country's institutions is pushing visa liberalisation, which she estimates is making her feel not as a citizen of Europe.
I think it's an impasse that's been blocking our entire life, especially for visa liberalisation, it's been a big influence. Due to numerous delays with leaders' problems, we as citizens cannot move like all other European citizens”, Boletini says.
Otherwise, parliamentary elections in Kosovo were organised on June 11th. Through the vote, citizens elected 120 MPs to the new composition of the Assembly. However, the Assembly remained unstinted, despite the fact that the inauguration session has been under way since August 3rd.
Without the constitution of the Parliament, no other constitutional and legal steps can be made for the election of the new Kosovo government.
