Data shows that Chinese smartphones make up 48 percent of the total volume of remittances in the second quarter, while “Xiaomi”, “Vivo”, “O PPO” and “Hawawei” are the best known brands of Chinese smartphones outside China.

U.S. sector analyst John Shea says foreign users are going from the most expensive smartphones to the Chinese brands: “is not like in 2009, when it was éiPhonne and nothing else, or éiPhonnecom and some junk. Now they're all almost the same. There's a slightly better quality, 20 ʹ30, but it costs five times as much and so choice is very easy”.

A previous report shows that Russia, Thailand, Vietnam, and some African countries have a strong demand for switching from traditional mobile phone models to smartphones.

According to the same report, potential smartphone users in these countries are no better than the economic situation, so they would like to make effective purchases, which has led to increased Chinese smartphone sales in these countries.

According to analysts, possible Chinese smartphone markets are also India and Brazil.
