The Volkswagen Group of America is drawing 280,915 units of the Volkswagen model 2009-2016 and models of the 2006-2010 Passat and Passat Wagons.
Power cuts in the fuel pump control module could cause fuel pump failure by causing engine slowdown, and therefore increasing the risk of accidents, reports ConsumerAffairs in Washington DC.
According to ConsumerAffairs, Volkswagen will inform the owners, and traders to replace the fuel pump control module and that it will do so for free, to avoid the risk that cars can cause.
Stock parts are currently unavailable. Temporary reports informing the owners of these cars of the impending danger they are expected to be sent by mail on October 13th 2017, says the latest ConsumerAffairs report on the issue facing VW owners. /Telegraph
