The German car company has said it will start selling cars in Iran over the next month after signing the contract with local importer Mammmut Khodro.
Under the deal, the company will sell several car types that have been the most wanted in the Tehran region.
With the return to Iran, inside Volkswagn is filling another blank spot in the world automobile market”, the company's company manager for Iran, Sundt Jensen, has said.
Volkswagen is the leader of the European market with species of cars like VW, Porsche, Skoda and Seat.
Brandy had left the Iranian market during 2000, after increasing international sanctions against Iran.
French car producers Renault and PSA have also announced they have made plans for return to the Iranian market, following the removal of economic sanctions.
International sanctions on Iran, which were imposed on its nuclear program, were lifted in January 2016.
