If Serbia should choose between closer ties with Russia and EU membership, it will choose second. Serbia's Prime Minister Anna Brnabic said so.
In an interview for the US news agency Blumberg, she said that as prime minister, she will continue the path her predecessor has started, now Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, for EU membership, broadcast Periscopi.
“The EU is where we're going. This is clear”, Brnatic said.
“We have emotional ties with Russia due to tradition, culture and religion”, she said, and noted that in Serbia a large number of people perceive Russia as their big, protective brother.
According to her, these feelings cannot be ignored “but our strategic route is the EU”. /Periscopi/
