Microsoft rids of the smartphone operating system “Windows Phone 8.1”

Windows Phone 8.1 users will not receive updates, which will make these old phones.

The move is good news for technology platforms such as iOS and Android, enabling them to strengthen their position on the market, writes “Wired”, the Periscope broadcast.

Earlier, Microsoft had released a list of products to be cut off for 2017, including four lines of January, April, July and October cuts.
