The Nissan company has demonstrated confidence in the future generation of Leaf model electric cars and expects that in the next three years every fifth car sold in Europe will be electric.
As warned, besides Leaf, two other electric models are expected to be launched by 2020, at a global level
Nissan's statement of the European power utility Geret Dnasmor comes in the days when France warned that by 2040 it will stop the entire gasoline and diesel vehicles.
By 2020, where good conditions are, I believe 20 percent of our cars sold will be electric. This is the part that will constantly grow”, Dnasmore said.
This means that out of 735,725 cars sold by Nissan in Europe in 2016, 147,000 of them will be Leaf.
Officially, in 2016, Nissan in Europe sold 23,000 electric cars, of them 18,500 Leaf and fewer than 4,500 e-NV,200 models.
