Google has confirmed that Allo for the Web / desktop will be launched soon. The confirmation came in the form of a tweet from Amit Fulay, who is Chief of Products (Allo and Duo) on Google. Specifically, he said the app would be available in the coming weeks.
In February of this year, Google's Nick Fox showed a view of the web application version, saying it's in the early stage of development. However, it did not provide any specific launching framework. But now it is reasonable to assume that the app will be revealed soon.
