Samsung plans to receive 157 tonnes of rare metal, among which gold, silver, copper and cobalt, from recycling Galaxy Note 7, smartphones attracted by the market last fall due to battery problems.
Parts of it are actually returning to the market after a review to ensure security, named Note 7 “Fan Edition”, which for several weeks are being sold in South Korea and very quickly in other countries.
While about a month later, Samsung must produce the successor, Note 8 that, according to the rumours that circulate, can be introduced between August 23rd or 26th in New York.
The Galaxy Note 7 that will not return to stores will be recycled, as requested by many environmental organizations. Samsung has explained that some components will be reused, such as camera, screens, chip, which will be sold in part and used in part to repair broken phones.
