Xiaomi had a difficult year during 2016, but things have begun to change for the Chinese manufacturer in 2017.

The company, also known as the Chinese Apple, reported that TM2 was the most successful quarter of 23 million telephones sold around the globe.

Xiaomi CEO Leigh Jun said the amount of telephones sold is 70% more than it was in the previous quarterly period.

The good climate of the economy is among the reasons for positive numbers. Sales in India increased by 32.8% year-on-year. Redme Note 4 became the most widely distributed telephone model in the country, and the company opened the first Mi Home in Bengaluru two months ago.

Xiaomi aims to reach the revenue of 100 billion CNY (about 14.7 billion dollars) by the end of 2017 and set a 100 million shipment target in 2018.
