However, Apple seems willing to give billions of dollars to a Samsung contestant in order to reduce her confidence in the main rival.
According to reports coming from South Korea, Apple is close to finalising an agreement with LG Display, which will push the American company to invest up to $2.24 billion in the LG's display production branch
Apple is said to be making this investment so that the LG branch can increase its small production of O panel LED and supply O panels exclusively LED for iPhone. LG Display reportedly is considering the offer and can make a final decision on the issue in the coming weeks.
If Apple wants to go through show technology O LED for the iPhone, will have to work with Samsung for a considerable time, since the company has a monopoly on the market.
Its bid to invest billions of dollars in LG Display can be seen as a long-term movement to disverbe the supply chain so that eventually when all iPhone models go to OLED, the company does not rely on a single major supplier for O panelings. LED
