 The point of this is to ensure a stable supply of O panels LED for future iPhones, those that come in 2018 and beyond. We've already heard Apple plans to go O LED for her cell phone starting next year, and that confirms it.

Investment will basically serve as preliminary payment for O panel LEDs that will be produced in the future.

Apple's been saying she made a deal with Samsung about the O screen. The LED of iPhone 8 coming this year, but the company traditionally does not like to rely on a supplier for a share.
