Kelmendi's move had been replaced with that of “house arrest”, in February of this year, but after the EULEX Special Prosecutor's appeal, a few days later the same had returned to custody.
But, the defense of the accused for international drug trafficking, Naser Kelmendi, has already announced that the removal of the detention measure against his client has taken a cut.
“Z. Naser Kelmendi from today will be protected in freedom. The Constitutional Court's decision to release Mr. Kelmendi from the detention measure already is of pre-cut form and the same cannot be appealed to”, wrote lawyer Besnik Berisha.
EULEX Special Prosecutor “eventually loses the battle with Mr. Naser Kelmendi over the detention measure” has praised Kelmendi's lawyer.
Otherwise, Naser Kelmendi is charged at nine points of the indictment filed by a special EULEX prosecutor.
The prosecution claims that Kelmendi in co-ordination with several other persons has organised, formed, supervised, led and or led the organised and structured criminal group, or actively participated in this organised criminal group for the murder of rival chief Legister Ramiz Delaliq- “Chelo”.
This crime has been committed, according to the Prosecutor, to directly or indirectly benefit wealth or financial benefits. But this is only one of the points of the indictment, since the same is accused of eight other crimes.
