Vidovdan Day will be celebrated in Gazimestan tomorrow, where many Serbian citizens are expected to attend.
Kosovo Police spokesman Daut Hoxha has told the news.net that Kosovo police have completed their duties in an operation to manage the situation.
The Kosovo Police based on tasks and legal authorisations regarding the activities and manifestations of Vidovdan's holiday has taken plan-opponsive action to manage the security situation, maintain order and public calm, as well as guarantee the free movement”, the police response is said.
The holiday is marked every year by Kosovo Serbs, and not only, since Serbian officials have often participated in the marking of this event.
Tomorrow, it is expected that Gazimestan will be the director of the so-called Kosovo office in Serbia, Marko Djuric and Patrick Irinej.
Vidovdan connects with the Battle of Kosovo, which Serbian history recognises as its spiritual victory despite great Balkan defeat.
Throughout the holiday Serbs use nationalist choirs like “Kosovo is Serbia”.
