Known for its sensibility and incompatible character, former Socialist President Francisco Hollande's former prime minister from 2014 to 2016 had disagreements for several months with his political formation, divided between opposing positions.
In January, he emerged losers in Socialist preliminaries, where he supported centrist Emmanuel Macron from the first round of presidential elections, at the expense of his camp candidate, Benoót Hamon.
