Croatia's ambassador to Kosovo, Marija Kapitanovic, said this year is marking the National Day of Croatia in Kosovo and marking the 9th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kosovo and Croatia.
“Co-operation between Kosovo and Croatia is fine. We have two communities. Here in Kosovo we have Croats, even though it is a small community, it is historic. We also have Albanian communities from Kosovo living in Croatia. They have contributed greatly to Croatia. We expect to develop even more co-operation in many areas”, Kapitanovic told RTK.
Kapitanovic said the anniversary is when it reflects what has been achieved. We have achieved two goals -- NATO and EU membership. The transition does not stop, it should be worked to have development and job opening”, she said.
According to her, Kosovo and Croatia have emotional ties. We have cooperation in the conical sphere, culture, national library, environmental institutions. There is room for” improvements, she said.
According to her to increase investments, we must have rule of law. She suggested that 200 Croats live in Kosovo.
They've been here for centuries. There are essential problems, infrastructure and employment. We should do more for them even for Kosovo citizens”, she said.
