“There was no agreement,” told reporters who asked him about the decision by former national security adviser Mike Flynn, who was convicted of a false statement Friday in court.
Flynn was convicted Friday that he had issued a false statement to federal Bureau of Investigation agents (FBI) about his conversation with the Russian ambassador in December last year.
He, under the plea agreement, said a senior member of Trump's team had told him to contact Russian officials in December 2016, in the period between elections and inauguration.
Flynn is the fourth indictee in the investigation of Robert Mueller's special adviser on Russian involvement in the US elections in 2016.
