Thaci: Special Court was made for the sake of internationals, to petition parliament (Video)

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has said he is not the mastermind of the Special Court, but has only bore institutional responsibilities as prime minister, deputy prime minister and foreign minister, during the time the Special suggested and controversial.

At the weekend conference with journalists, the president has said it is parliament that has decided to allow the Special Court to extend its mission to Kosovo, so according to him, even the petition launched by O V L NLA to change this law adopted two years ago will be treated by parliament, raporton Periscopi.

I'm not a Special Court ideal. I was the bearer of this process at the time, both as prime minister and deputy prime minister and foreign minister of the Republic of Kosovo”, Thaci said.

Thaci said he does not change his position that Special has been approved the mandate for the sake of partnership with internationals.

I have declared even then that this court is being established for the sake of NATO, the US and the EU. I was not led by any narrow party programme, but by broad social interest. Parliament is the one who has decided on the foundation, and the Kosovo parliament is the one who decides for this petition”, the president said. /Periscopi/
