Thousands of opposition activists in the capital Kiev in Ukraine have participated in a rally, asking this country's parliament to adopt the president's dismissal legislation.
Police said the demonstration organised by the party, the New Forces Movement, Mikheil Saakashvili, has attracted nearly 2,500 people, but reports in local media say nearly 5,000 people attended the rally.
The demonstrators were peacefully dispersed after marching through the capital city center Kiev and gathering in Europe Square.
The demonstration was originally invited by Saakashvili, an ally of Ukraine's president Petro Porosenko, but many opposition political leaders in Ukraine also attended today's protest. (REL)
