Gashi is accused of being hit by Ali last Friday, causing injury to his face.
Aliu has told the newspaper that the chief inspector attacked him in the presence of law department director Isni Kryeziu.
According to Aliu, the reason for the attack relates to that Gashi has asked inspectors to pressure Pristina University to handle some academic staff complaints related to the recent competition for electing the academic person.
