Parties spent millions of euros on June 11th elections

Political parties for June 11th elections have spent millions of euros, where coalition leads PAN with 1m 717 thousand and 155 euros, the LAA coalition with 1m and 94 thousand and 76 euros and Vetevendosje Movement with 359 thousand and 929 euros.

So said today on presentation of the report “How much political parties spent on the 11th centre's elections, the non-government organisation Get up! and Democracy Plus.

Genc Nimoni from Arise, said that during the analysis, they were stopped mainly in the two major coalitions that were in the June 11th elections, PAN and LAA and the Vetevendosje Movement, while stressing that even though they have sought access to financial reports of political subjects, this has not been allowed.

We have not had access to all municipalities and television during this period. There are 15 unmonitored municipalities. We have asked political subjects to receive financial reports, but we have failed to access them because of the CEC and political parties”, he said.

Isuf Zeynep from D+ said that spending has been analysed in this report using a combined methodology that has included the expenses of subjects in the media, electoral gatherings, election surveys and land spending, where the PAN leads to media spending. According to him, political parties' interest in daily newspapers has dropped.
