Marko Djurovic: 58 per cent of Kosovo is Serbia's

In the course of dialogue with Pristina, Belgrade will insist to verify everything belonging to Serbian property in Kosovo. Kadastra says 58 per cent of Kosovo's land is Serbian-owned, says Marko Djuric, broadcast Koha.net. According to him, resolving property relations in Kosovo will be one of the main conditions [...]
According to him, resolving property relations in Kosovo will be one of the main conditions of the Serbian side so that the overall normalisation of relations with Pristina can be achieved. Always according to him, continuing Brussels dialogue, Belgrade will seek revision of privatisation in Kosovo, and with this initiative formally to address U EULEX's NMIC.
Djuric, speaking of Beogard's “newspaper”, says privatisation in Kosovo has been done without respect for UNMIK provisions and without the reconciliation of the Serb community and Serbia. Thus, according to him, Serbia has been damaged with priceless sums of money.
Under talks on the property that awaits them, Belgrade will in particular seek in, as Djuric says, in the natural restitution of church property, which means the return of land taken from monasteries and not compensation for it.
The director of the Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government has said that “comprehensive study of privatisation in Kosovo says more than 900 companies have been made with illegal titles and without the consent of real owners, and that all, he said, was presented at the recent session of Brussels dialogue
“For its demands Belgrade has paper covers, because cadastral evidence says 58 percent of the land in Kosovo is Serbian property. In state and social property there is 29 percent of it, 14 percent is found in economic subjects, while in private and church property there is 15 percent of Kosovo's territory”, Djuric said.
