Liverpool fans have been shaken in a few hours by two unexpected news reports. Red “” has bought Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk, also wanted by Manchester City and Manchester United, for 80m euros. The defence has been one of the weak points of Klopp's team in recent seasons, but after the 26-year record purchase, it is most likely that these problems will be minimized.

The next news has been linked to another Liverpool defender, Jon Flanagan, who was arrested a few days ago for causes not related to football. The player, dated 1993, is detained on charges of aggression and will be obliged to stand trial on January 2nd next.
Flanagan has grown up among Liverpool's young and has been part of the first team since July 2010. After the debut at Premier League in April 2011, he played about 50 matches with the Red “”. But on August 10th 2014, he suffered a serious knee injury that kept him out of the field for 20 months. He has played another match with England's national in June 2014 against Ecuador.
