At least two people were killed in clashes with Israeli troops Friday, when thousands of Palestinians demonstrated against US President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israeli capital and Palestinian president said Washington could no longer be a peace mediator.
Throughout the Arab and Muslim world, thousands of protesters took to the streets on the holy day of Muslims to express solidarity with Palestinians and anger over the return of Trump in decades of US politics, Reuters reports, broadcast Indescline.
Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian near Gaza's border, the first confirmed death in two days of unrest.
