The head of the Kosovo government, Ramush Haradinaj, was on the date he turned 100 days of his work, made a decision to raise salaries for the government cabinet.
The prime minister's raise in wages was described as scandalous. From 1550 euros it received so far, Haradinaj doubled its income to 2950 euros.
From this decision, salary increases also benefited deputy prime ministers, ministers and another part of Haradinaj's staff, Periscopi reports.
But the new Kosovo government, as with the record number of deputy ministers, turns out to have the prime minister's salary as high in the region.
Although Albania is only a few kilometers away, Prime Minister Edi Rama receives a salary of 1700 euros there. On the other hand, the other neighbouring country, Serbia is considered to have the lowest salary in the region, of only 1,000 euros.
These are prime ministers' salaries in the countries of the region:
1) Kosovo: $2950
2) Croatia: $2600
3 ) Albania $1700
4) Macedonia: $1300
5) Montenegro: $1130
6) Bosnia and Herzegovina: $1070
7) Serbia: 1000.
