Kosovo's Afarism Oda in co-operation with the Ministry of Finance organised the joint meeting with businesses on the “fiscal theme!”
Attending this meeting was Finance Minister Bedri Hamza, who said he never has a problem coping with business demands aimed at developing them and the economy. He said he never made a decision to charge businesses, but to facilitate them.
Hamza stated that several decisions have been made to facilitate business activity. According to him, two of the decisions made have been made to free the excise tax for mazuses aimed at supporting producers.
Hamza has also talked about fiscal reforms that will happen very soon.
Besides cutting prosecutions and red tape to the border, TVS will be paid inside the country, not at the border. I assure you there will be no burden on business. Also, through fiscal policies we won't create inequality in the market, that's what I'm telling you with full responsibility”, Minister Hamza has said.
He added that these measures would have a positive impact on businesses and on various companies.
Ismet Mulaj executive director at the Kosovo Afarism Oda said many documents have been drafted to change the environment of doing business. He has said there has been demands that the excise on mazut be removed for farmers as if it would be removed for producers. He also raised the issue of tax rates.
Minister Hamza has said that removing the excise for mazut is not even about agriculture, because he said farmers are supported in other forms.
The producer's Shaban Muja said it is the first factory in Kosovo that has never been visited by state institutions officials, and that it faces many difficulties for the producer at the factory for high heels for the import of raw materials.
“With these customs tariffs, I cannot be competitive in our market, because ready imported products have more facilities”, Muja said.
