The Kosovo government is expected tomorrow to proceed with the Kosovo Assembly names proposed for new members of the Energy Regulatory Office Board (ZRRE). Minister of Economic Development Valdrin Luka has confirmed this for Kosovo.
He believes that by the end of the year Z The RRE will have its own working board.
Some names are selected, I believe on this Wednesday will be voted and sent to the Assembly. What's important by the end of the year is due, and the Parliament will vote because there are many things that have not been resolved due to a lack of quorum. And I believe that by the end of the year, we will have the quorum (functioning board)”, Minister Luka for Kosova Preress said.
The ZERE board has been unfunctioned since May this year and has no power to make decisions. Z RRE, it is failing to abolish its decision, where Kosovo citizens are forced to pay for spending electricity in the country's north and with recommendations from the ombudsman.
For five years Kosovo citizens have paid 41m euros in electricity to citizens living in the four northern Kosovo municipalities and are inhabited by Serbs.
