The number of fatal accidents has increased compared to last year. According to Kosovo Police statistics for 11 months (January-November), 119 or 19 more people have died in various accidents compared to the same period last year. Since nearly 400,000 traffic tickets have been pronounced for drivers who have committed traffic violations, reports Express.
Over the past 11 months, 107 fatal accidents have taken place in which 119 lives have been lost. During the same period in 2016, 89 fatal accidents in which a total of 100 people have lost their lives have occurred, writes the newspaper Express.
Even in 2016, more than five thousand injured accidents occurred in 2017. 5817 accidents with injuries occurred during January-November 2017, or 165 more accidents with injured persons than in 2016.
Some 11549 or 490 more people were injured in these accidents than in 2016.
Meanwhile, the number of accidents with injured and injured persons totals 16122 accidents (January 8, 2017). Kosovo police during this period have pronounced 371,976 traffic tickets.
Kosovo's “Police continue to appeal to all participants in traffic in particular to drivers, to be vigilant and to respect the rules stemming from traffic law; to stick to the speed set by traffic signs, to adapt to road and atmosphere conditions, and not to use the phones while driving because with such uncertain actions are contributing to the increase in accidents and loss of lives of people in traffic”, says Gazeta Express electronic response.
