This is the 12th consecutive success in cage for the American martial arts mix champion, six months after taking the champion title where he beat Aldo, successfully defends him against one of the legends of this weight.

For Jose Aldo, this is the third loss in the last four confrontations, a signal he may have to think about drawing at the age of 31. He has been twice world championed in this weight, but failed for the third time.
