It has impressive Greek - style beaches, historic castles similar to Wales and well - traveled malls where coffees are lined up in Barcelona.

All this is located in a beautiful, affordable and totally unexplored place that you probably haven't heard anything yet.

Albania has even been selected in the 18 main countries we recommend in 2018!

Below are 11 reasons why you have to visit this hidden pearl of Europe (before anyone else):

1. It is free: 5-star hotels everywhere in Albania were under $100. A generous meal along with wine cost $10.15 per person at every restaurant. The phone card for a week with everything involved was three dollars. The place is free! At the Albanian Renaissance, you mostly see the same view as in Positano or Greek islands, at halved cost. Deeper in the country, you can experience Norwegian - style mountain walks and alpine cities inspired by Sweden without reliev interference. This is a perfect stop for any budget traveler, a backpack, or someone who seeks to travel in style without spending too much.

2. It's unchanged: Albania is not in the Instagram. Still, it's not Western, not exactly modernized. There's no stockings or McDonald. Unperfect public transportation. The best of all is there's not much tourism. This means that you will see an authentic place with rich history, as it is.

3. Old villages: Imagine Oia, Le Baux or Cotswold before they were crowded. The old hill villages have existed for more than 10,000 years. No cafes, no souvenir stores, no tourists. These villages are real and untouched, and you will be stunned by each one. You and only you!

4. The incredible nature: I was amazed by the diversity of relief in Albania. Inland you feel like a unique combination of New Zealand, Norway, and Switzerland. There are beaches, mountains, canyons, valleys, rivers, and lakes. Researchers have choice potential: they can ride bicycles, walk or parachute. This is a fantastic place to spend vacation combining half a vacation, half an adventure without traveling many hours to do both.

5. Virgin beaches: Corfu is only 30 minutes away by ferry along the Jon Sea. So you share the same stretch of beaches as the islands of Greece. The Albanian Renaissance near Drermi and Saranda has a coastline of white pebbles, the most pleasant I have seen in the Mediterranean. The best news? You're not gonna have to pay for hers, book cabins, or order expensive cocktails while lying down. Maybe the whole place will be all yours.

6 Vacte from farm to table: If it's not the season, you won't find it on the menu in Albania. I can really enjoy the refreshment and quality of any product on my plate every day. Albania is the kitchen queen from farm to table because people cultivate their own food. You can eat grapes, meat from farms and anything else done by hand, wherever you go. Even wine! Once I ate fish and then they showed me the boat they had caught. I felt like eating in Blue Hill, Stone Barnes. And everything is fresh and free of canning or chemicals, while after a week I had lost a pound of weight.

7 Unbelievable History: I decided to go to Albania when I learned her place on the map. It is part of the Balkans, which is limited by Greece and Macedonia, while Italy lies beyond Jon and the Adriatic. She has rich stories like her neighbors. You will see 5,000-year-old ruins, Ottoman architecture, roads traveled by Alexander the Great, ancient castles and mountaintop villages. Albania has everything. But unlike her neighbors, she is untouched and unexplored.

Eight loved ones: Albanians appreciate your presence there. During my trips around the world, I have experienced moments when locals are not satisfied with the fact that their villages and cities are crowded with tourists. Sometimes I felt inadequate. But this could never be Albania's case. When locals here realize that you've chosen their country they're filled with pride and do everything you feel great on your journey. This isn't a dangerous place, people are nice and welcome you with open arms.

9 Cities of World Heritage of U NESCO: The city of Berat and Gjirokastra are part of U's World Heritage · Global Voices NESTO that you've never heard of, but that will impress you. They're a few hours apart.

10 You don't have to ask for a planned trip: Before many of my trips, I deserve to look for hotels, restaurants, places to see, bars and shops. Sometimes I even get tired of all this planning. So I have nothing left but to pick up a map and see where I'm going. This is not happening in Albania! Thanks to Limitless Albania, I let someone else do this job. This place is so unexplored that I needed a local expert for help. I trusted Fatmir from eating to sleeping and I think I've never had such a stressful vacation.

11 You'll be surprised: When was the last time you went somewhere without knowing what was waiting for you? Maybe you've never been to Liguria, but you've seen every inch of it in the Instagram. To experience a place for your pleasure is, of course, something different, but you know what will happen, even where you will go to eat. In Albania every day will be an adventure. You haven't seen these pictures in the photo, thrown somewhere or tag-trolled geographically. You haven't heard of these restaurants or hotels (and hopefully not for a long time).

So go and discover an unexplored territory while you still have a chance!
