Following the attempt to abolish the Special Court in Kosovo, the director of the Office for Kosovo in Serbia has reacted, Marko Djuric, who has declared that some people are now trying to evade responsibilities, reports Serbian media.
War crimes countries do not age. They may try to buy out a few months or even a year, but sooner or later the truth about what happened will come to light”, Djuric added, the Telegrafi broadcast.
Several months ago, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, while participating in the organisation of nongovernmental organisations on the “Special Court perception”, said the Special Court needed to satisfy international actors.
The decision to establish the Special Court came as an international political need rather than justice. Our admission came with the reasoning that it should satisfy other actors that this issue is not delegated to the United Nations”, he said.
