Delaway has said the US does not want Kosovo to destroy its future.
“We have not made all these attempts at Kosovo's success, so that we now see it ruining its future, abolishing the law on the Special Court”, Delawi wrote.
The ambassador's statements have come after recent reports that the signing collection hearing for abolishing this law could be called.
We remember that days ago at the initiative of the Kosovo Liberation Army Veterans Organisation, many citizens, but also former KLA members have started to sign a petition requiring change of the Law for the Special Court.
Veterans want the special court to deal with the crimes that Serbs have committed in Kosovo during the war. According to them, the current version of the law obliges the court to deal only with suspects of Albanian ethnicity.
After the collection of 10,000 signatures, leaders of war-launched organisations have said that the petition would be handed over to the head parliament and head of the Parliament.
There is still no precise date when the first charges by the Special Court can be issued, but Kosovo officials have suggested that this could happen early next year.
