The last case occurred in the municipality of Lipjan and Gjilan, where some businesses have been prey to thieves. During this year alone, close to 3 thousand thefts have been reported in the Kosovo Police, KTV reports.
Almost every business has cameras installed. But that doesn't scare thieves at all.
As shown in this video at a market in Lipjan, they have only a few minutes to commit theft.
In Lipjan recently, in one night thieves had broken several locals, stealing various valuables.
And one of the victims of this case was Avdi Turreza of Lipjan.
By 1: 00 p.m., thieves had broken his bar by stealing many things, including cigarettes.
He says this is the first time, though this business has been occupied since the post-war.
However, Terreza is not the only one who has fallen prey to thieves on Monday night.
Other businesses have suffered the same.
Even in Gjilan, Tuesday night at a market, cigarettes worth more than 10,000 euros have been stolen.
In this case the police have captured the suspects.
The same are being investigated for other thefts in Gjilan, the Year and Ferizaj.
The large number of thefts occurring in Kosovo has become a disturbing phenomenon for the country's citizens.
This year alone, there were 2,762 cases of theft and 2,515 described as serious theft.
However, according to the Kosovo Police, there are fewer such cases reported this year in relation to the previous year.
